As in the past, we will continue to set standards in the area of sustainability in the future. In 2015, we therefore began systematically extending our sustainability strategy to the acquired Sanitec Group.

Using water conscientiously is one of the most important issues of our time – right across the globe. Water crises were also deemed a top risk by the World Economic Forum (WEF). Geberit sees developing water-saving products – both those behind and in front of the wall – as a key task.

Products and services, water consumption and training and education are just some of the main areas that we deal with. Geberit has identified all the important topics and prioritised and summarised them in the materiality analysis in an illustrative manner.

Geberit’s sustainability strategy remains its most important tool for defining targets and measures relating to the topic of sustainability and reporting on what has been achieved in a transparent manner.

We stick to the ambitious energy goals. Despite now engaging in energy-intensive ceramic production, we will continue to focus on the three pillars – savings in energy consumption, increased energy efficiency and the acquisition of renewable energy sources.
